The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has two scholarship programs available to Kentucky residents. The Civil Engineering Scholarship Program is available to a limited number of students attending UK, U o L, Western Kentucky University, or Kentucky State University for a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. The award amount is $6,200 per semester for freshman and sophomore college students and $6,600 for junior and senior college students. The Civil Engineering Technology Scholarship Program is available for students attending Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington and Big Sandy Community and Technical College in Prestonsburg for an associate’s degree in civil engineering technology. The award is $3,000 per semester. The application deadline for both scholarships is February 1, 2017 with recipients notified in April.
