Former mayor for the city of Paintsville, Bob Porter, was sentenced to four years in prison on Thursday, January 12. Porter was charged with federal theft and bribery for using federal funds for personal use and receiving thousands of dollars in utilities services during his time in office. Additionally, the former mayor was ordered to pay $4,000 in fines. He has 14 days to appeal the sentence and will have to report to prison on March 13.
