Dr. Alan Scheibmeir, interim president of Big Sandy Community and Technical College, attended a legislative meet and greet sponsored by regional chambers of commerce on Thursday, January 12, at the Mountain Arts Center. He commended the chambers on hosting the event as an opportunity for citizens to meet their elected officials. Dr. Sheibmeir discussed with local legislators the college’s involvement in community, workforce, and economic development efforts. He said he sees the same attitude of collaboration and innovation in our legislators as he sees in the groups and organizations working to strengthen eastern Kentucky.
