Big Sandy Community and Technical College’s Workforce Solutions division and the Kentucky Coal Academy have announced an innovative and accelerated training program that combines high-tech training for high-wage jobs. The 12-week program, beginning February 17 on the Hager Hill Campus of BSCTC, will provide students industry leading credentials in lineman, fiber optics, commercial driver’s license and OSHA 10 Construction certification. Kelli Hall, dean of career education and workforce development, said this training program equips students with credentials that make them marketable in many different business and industry sectors.
