The Library Seminar Series and the Diversity Committee at Big Sandy Community and technical College is will present the Kentucky Chautauqua with Betsy Smith as Jemima Boone on Wednesday January 25 at 10:50am in the Gearheart Auditorium on the Prestonsburg campus of BSCTC. Jemima Boone, daughter of Daniel and Rebecca Boone, survived being kidnapped by a group of Native Americans at 14-years-old and was rescued after three days by her father’s search party. Betsy Smith of Cynthiana portrays Boone for Kentucky Chautauqua. The performance is free and open to the public.
