Governor Bevin Orders Flags at Half-Staff in Honor of Fallen Ft. Campbell Soldier

Governor Matt Bevin has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff Tuesday, January 24, in honor of 1st Lieutenant Jeffrey D. Cooper, a Fort Campbell soldier who died while supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. Services for 1st Lt. Cooper, who died September 10, 2016, will be 11am Tuesday, January 24, at Arlington National Cemetery. According to the Department of Defence, 1st Lt. Cooper, 25, of Mill Creek, Washington, died in Kuwait, from a non-combat-related injury. Governor Bevin encourages individuals, businesses, organizations and government agencies to join in this tribute of lowering the flag in honor of 1st Lt. Cooper.
