Unemployment rates in 119 Kentucky counties were down in December 2016, but rose in Lyon County, from December 2015. Lyon increased to 6.6 percent. Oldham County recorded the lowest jobless rate in the Commonwealth at 2.9 percent. Magoffin County had the state’s highest unemployment rate at 13.5 percent. Floyd County was recorded with 8.8 percent, with Pike County at 8.7 percent.
