On Sunday, February 5, 2017 at 8:25pm, Kentucky State Police Post 8 in Morehead responded to the scene of a single vehicle collision near the 132 mile marker on I-64 in Rowan County. Upon initial investigation it was determined that Ashley Calvert, 30, of Salt Lick, and Robert J. Caudill, 32, of Owingsville, were the only occupants in a 1999 Toyota Corolla, which had been traveling westbound on I-64. The operator lost control of the vehicle, overturning several times, ejecting both occupants. Calvert and Caudill both sustained fatal injuries.
