At approximately 10:45pm Friday, February 3, Bell County Deputy Nick Capps went to an apartment at Pinnacle Homes to conduct a “knock and talk.” After knocking on the door, the owner was asked if Sidney Smith, 49,-wanted on a fugitive warrant- was at the residence, which the owner confirmed. Capps investigated upstairs and found 38-year-old Tammy Rust wrapping a glass pipe, containing residue, in a blue washcloth. Rust was also found in possession of methamphetamine and prescription medication. Rust and Smith were both arrested at the residence.
