To help guard against tax fraud and identity theft, the Kentucky Department of Revenue has enhanced taxpayer security by including an Identity Confirmation Quiz. Taxpayers began receiving letters on February 3, 2017 asking them to take a short online Identity Confirmation Quiz before their tax refund is fully processed. The letter will give specifics as to what the taxpayer must do to take the quiz. The quiz will be available for 30 days from the date of the letter and should be taken as soon as possible for the Kentucky Department of Revenue to continue processing the return.
