On Wednesday, Governor Matt Bevin ceremonially signed two historic pro-life measures during the Kentucky Right to Life Association’s “Rally for Life.” He applauded legislators for their commitment to the bill, and said “the sanctity of human life is worth fighting for.” Governor Bevin has signed three pieces of pro-life legislation into law since taking office. Senate Bill 4 was signed in 2016 requiring medical personnel to provide face-to-face consultations to women 24 hours before abortions. Senate Bill 5 and House Bill 2 were signed this year, prohibiting abortions after 20 weeks and offering ultrasounds before an abortion.
