KSP Investigating Officer Involved Shooting in Madison County

The Kentucky State Police are investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred on Tuesday, February 7, in Madison County. KSP Sergeant Toby Coyle responded to a domestic violence disturbance before 9pm Tuesday, when Kenneth Huntzinger, 51, drove his truck at him. Sergeant Coyle opened fire on the truck, injuring the suspect. Sergeant Coyle was the only officed involved and placed on paid administrative leave, in accordance with KSP policy. Huntzinger is currently being treated for life-threatening injuries  at the University of Kentucky Hospital.
