Crestwood’s Ed Staats Named Head of State Citizen Foster Care Review Board

On Thursday, Howard E. “Ed” Staats of Crestwood was named head of the State Citizen Foster Care Review Board, which guides the work of local Citizen Foster Care Review Boards statewide. Staats, a retired news service executive, advanced to be the board’s state chairman after serving in the elected position of vice chairman for two years. His term as chairman is also two years. The goal of the Citizen Foster Care Review Board is to ensure children’s needs are met while in care and that they are placed in safe, permanent homes as quickly as possible.
