Kentucky Native Sturgill Simpson Wins Best Country Album Grammy Award

Kentucky native Sturgill Simpson took home the Grammy award for Best Country Album at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards. Simpson, with his third studio album, A Sailor’s Guide to Earth, beat out Paintsville native Loretta Lynn, as well as country artists Keith Urban, Maren Morris, and Brandy Clark. The album was also nominated for Album of the Year, which went to Adele for her album 25.
