On Monday, the Harlan County Sheriff’s Department arrested a man on numerous methamphetamine trafficking and heroin charges. Eugene “J.R.” Farley, 39, of Holmes Mill was charged with 5 counts of trafficking in controlled substance 1st degree and importing heroin. Tabatha Stanton, 28, was also charged with trafficking in controlled substance. Both were lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center. The arrests were a result of a joint investigation conducted by the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police, and Appalachia Narcotics Investigations.
