Governor Bevin Ceremonially Signs Right to Work Bill

On Wednesday, Governor Matt Bevin ceremonially signed House Bill 1, which provides right-to-work guarantees to all Kentucky workers, in a midday gathering with legislators, economic developers, and business advocates from across the state. The governor said the bill means new opportunities for the Commonwealth and said they are already talking to people who said they were not going to do business in Kentucky until it was done. Kentucky is the 27th state to enact the legislation, which protects employees from being forced to pay union dues in order to keep their jobs.
