Laurel County Woman Arrested After Falsely Reporting Attack

A Laurel County woman has been arrested for falsely reporting an incident. The Laurel County Sheriff’s office was called around midnight Wednesday, February 15 about a physical altercation between 29-year-old Kacey Honeycutt and her boyfriend. Honeycutt claimed the two had been drinking when he hit her in the face and choked her. Further investigation found that she had asked neighbors to hit her in the face so her boyfriend would go to jail. After neighbors refused, she hit herself and scratched her neck. Honeycutt was arrested and charged with falsely reporting an incident and alcohol intoxication in a public place.
