Illinois Contractor Pleas Guilty for Taking Nearly $25,000 from Hardin County Customers

Attorney General Andy Beshear announced Friday, February 24, an Illinois man plead guilty to taking nearly $25,000 from customers in Hardin County to repair their roofs and never completed the work. James Pilotte, 37, of Somonauk, Illinois plead guilty on six counts of failure to make required disposition of property over $500, a class D felony. As part of the plea agreement, Pilotte was sentenced to five years and placed on probation for five years, diverted for five years, and will repay the victims.
