Big Sandy Community and Technical College hosted the SkillsUSA Northeast Regional competition on Friday, February 24 on its Mayo campus. More than 150 students from Floyd, Johnson, Magoffin, Martin and Pike counties competed in 37 categories. BSCTC recruiters were on hand, as well as admissions and financial aid staff to assist students with programming, admission and financial aid. Mike Jude, coordinator of the SkillsUSA program, said the partnership with the college has allowed the SkillsUSA program to flourish over the years.
