Cancer Curing Cream Maker Convicted of Misbranding Products

On Wednesday, March 1, Samuel Girod, from Owingsville, Kentucky, was convicted by a federal jury for conspiracy to impede an officer of the United States, obstruction of proceedings, witness tampering, failure to appear, and nine violations of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, in connection with three products he made and distributed. The evidence established that in September 2013, Girod and his company Satterfield Naturals were ordered to stop manufacturing and distributing TO-MOR-GONE, Chickweed Healing Salve, and R.E.P., which were advertised as curing skin cancer, removing tumors, and helping other skin irritating conditions. He was convicted of nine counts of misbranding products with the intent to defraud.
