On Tuesday, March 7, Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes and local leaders conducted a lengthy discussion with community members and business leaders on improving civic involvement among Kentuckians at the Center for Rural Development. It was Grimes’ third stop on a statewide tour to improve civic engagement. A large part of the discussion centered on volunteerism and social connectedness. Several local volunteer organizations were represented to talk about volunteer opportunities within the community.
