Drug Trafficking Arrest in Mingo County

On March 8, Officers with the US 119 Drug Task Force and the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department conducted an interdiction traffic stop on a silver Ford F-150 driven by Gabriel Brewer. The reason for the stop was based on a lengthy investigation into a drug trafficking organization operating in Mingo and Wayne Counties. A strong smell of marijuana came from the vehicle and Brewer and Kenneth Williams, of Detroit, were asked to exit the vehicle. Nearly $12,000 in drugs were found inside the vehicle, include heroin, marijuana, and oxycodone. The two were arrested and other arrests are expected.
