Betsy Layne High school won the Regional Science Olympiad competition held at the University of Pikeville March 4, 2017. Prestonsburg High School’s Team Alpha placed 3^rd, with Team Omega placing 4^th and South Floyd Middle Placing 3^rd. All four teams will be advancing to state competition. Kaylie Edwards and Breanna Little of South Floyd High also placed 1^st in their category, Rocks and Minerals. Superintendent Dr. Henry Webb and the board team congratulated all students and coaches for their performance and wished them luck at state.
