At the regular meeting of the Johnson County Fiscal Court held on March 13, the court approved a motion to have Mountain Comprehensive Care Center apply for a grant that would help with a reentry program for inmates. The Second Chance Act Reentry Program provides for the treatment and reentry services for those with substance use and mental disorders returning to the community from incarceration. The grant would allow for services such as drug testing of inmates, as well as counseling and certifications.
