Around 1:30pm Sunday, March 19, the Hazard Fire Department responded to a report of a brush fire near a water pumping station located near KY HWY 15 and Morton BLVD. The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources is conducting an investigation into this intentionally set fire. The Hazard Police Department is asking if anyone has any information on individuals seen on foot in this area during the time of the incident to contact them at 436-2222. The information will be forwarded to the investigating officer with Kentucky Fish and Wildlife.
