Knox County Man Arrested for Theft After Falsely Reporting Vehicle Stolen

On March 20, 2017 Knox County Deputy Claude Hudson was dispatched to a residence on Duggar Lane in Corbin regarding an attempted theft of an ATV. When Deputy Hudson arrived, he observed a 2002 Jeep Liberty stuck in the yard. While conducting an investigation, the owner of the stuck vehicle, Denver Nicely, called to report it stolen. After conducting an interview, Nicely, age 46, was charged with theft, criminal mischief, and falsely reporting an incident. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
