On Sunday March 26, 2017, around 3:30pm, Kentucky State Police Troopers, along with Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, located two individuals in a vehicle on an abandoned portion of Freestone Road near the Farmers Community in Rowan County. Upon approach, the passenger, Miranda Caudill, 36 of West Liberty, was observed ingesting a controlled substance. Further investigation discovered two loaded pistols, scales, a large amount of cash, and numerous other drug paraphernalia items. Caudill, along with Robert Mackenzie, 46 of Olympia, were arrested and lodged in the Rowan County Detention Center.
