On Thursday, March 16^, the City of Hazard hosted the Water Disinfection By-Products Symposium. The symposium was presented by the Kentucky Drinking Water Advisory Council Compliance Committee, which includes representatives from drinking water utilities and commercial labs, along with various associations. Some of the topics included Disinfection By-Products, Basic Distribution Operations, Tank Management and Operations, Effective Flushing, Valve Maintenance, and Water Loss. Over 60 plant operators and distribution personnel from Hazard and surrounding counties, along with others from Warren County and northern Kentucky attended the symposium.
