Leadership Floyd County Travels to Frankfort

The Floyd County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Floyd County visited Frankfort for a Legislative Session on March 22. The class started in the morning with an in-depth guided tour of the Kentucky State Capitol Building and the surrounding property. Larry Brown, State Representative from the 95th District, joined the group for the majority of the tour and offered his inside perspective from a legislator’s view. While in the House Chamber, Brown described a typical day in the General Assembly and elaborated on several bills that had passed during the 2017 session. Treasurer Allison Ball later joined the group, describing her duties, communicating how transparency in government is crucial, and the importance of adding value to the lives of others.
