On Monday, March 27, Knox County Deputy Sam Mullins received a report of a meth lab at a residence on Hubbard Branch Road in Scalf. Deputies Mullins and Claude Hudson traveled to the residence of Dennis Baker, 36, and conducted an investigation. Located at the residence were over 3 grams of methamphetamine, two glass smoking pipes, and a set of digit scales. During the arrest, a small caliber handgun was found in Baker’s pocket. He was charged with drug trafficking and possession and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Baker as lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
