Last week, Hazard Mayor Jimmy Lindon, along with other city officials, attended the Kentucky High Performance Public Facilities Workshop held at the Hazard Community and Technical College. The event, organized by the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet, was geared toward local government officials and others looking to solve problems and cut energy costs. Topics discussed included managing energy costs and how to procure energy efficient upgrades. During the event, Mayor Lindon presented Charles Snavely, Secretary of the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet, with a Duke of Hazard certificate, making him an Honorary Citizen of Hazard.
