The ApprenticeshipUSA State Expansion Grant Intiative is accepting applications for grant proposals. Kentucky was awarded over $800,000 to expand apprenticeship opportunities in underserved areas. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the grant initiative is intended to help states advance Registered Apprenticeship as a workforce development strategy and increase the number of Registered Apprentices by 1,300 individuals.
