On April 6, 2017 at approximately 4:45am Knox County Deputy Sheriff Mikey Ashurst responded to a report of an armed at the A&B Market #2 “The Blue Store” on Kentucky Highway 225 near Artemus. At 4:40am a man dressed in camouflage clothing, including a full mask, entered the market with a semi-automatic handgun. The perpetrator was described as being approximately 6’2” tall, weighing about 185 pounds. Two blue bank bags containing cash used to open the market were taken. No one was injured.
