Toyota Investing Over $1 Billion in Georgetown Plant

Toyota is investing over a billion dollars at its Georgetown plant to install a revolutionary new approach to vehicle design and production. The Georgetown facility will become Toyota’s first North American plant to use Toyota New Global Architecture. The 2018 Camry will be the first US vehicle produced on TNGA, designed to strengthen the vehicle’s core and improve performance. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky President Wil James says this is the largest investment in the plant’s history. In Georgetown, Toyota employs more than 8,000 team members from 80 Kentucky counties, and supports more than 30,000 Kentucky jobs.
