Norton Healthcare and the University of Louisville are teaming up to help kids battling cancer. The Norton Cancer Institute, Norton Children’s Hospital, and the University of Louisville are creating the Norton Children’s Cancer Institute to offer new types of care, increase the number of clinical trials offered to patients and develop groundbreaking research and technology. Norton Healthcare’s Doctor Thomas Kmetz, who heads women’s and children’s services, says the institute will provide a multidisciplinary approach for comprehensive treatment and support. Norton Children’s Hospital houses the country’s oldest children’s oncology program.
