Taxpayers who haven’t yet filed 2016 income taxes still have a week left to file this year. Traditionally, the filing deadline for taxes is April 15, but that date has been extended this year. April 15 falls on a Saturday, and Monday, April 17, known as Emancipation Day, is a legal holiday in Washington D.C. With April 14 being Good Friday, all Kentucky Department of Revenue offices will close at noon, and reopen April 17. The deadline to file your 2016 income tax returns is Tuesday, April 18, 2017.
