On Sunday, April 9, Knox County Sheriff Deputy Sam Mullins responded to a complaint of a possible meth lab at a residence on KY Highway 1304 in Bimble. The sheriff’s office had received similar complaints at this residence. During his investigation, Deputy Mullins recovered over one ounce of crystal methamphetamine, a small amount of suspected cocaine, a set of digital scales, a police scanner, over $2500 in cash and a loaded handgun. James Patterson, 55, was charged with trafficking in controlled substance, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and possession of a radio that sends/receives police radio signals.
