Protective Sealant Being Applied to US 60 Morehead Bypass Beginning April 13

Motorists should expect flagged traffic and delays on the US 60 Morehead Bypass in Rowan county on April 13 and 14 as contractors apply protective sealant to the highway. Crews will begin applying the sealant about 7am April 13 on US 60 between the KY 519 and University Drive intersections near downtown Morehead. Work will continue until around 7pm and will resume Friday, April 14 around 7am until mid to late afternoon. The project will require temporary lane restrictions and flagged traffic where crews are working. Pavement sealing operations reduce roadway cracking and extend the life of blacktop. Motorists should expect heavy traffic and delays and should plan travel accordingly.
