On Saturday, April 15, around 10:40am, Knox County Deputies received a call reporting that children had been left alone at a residence on Wilder Street in Corbin. Deputies arrived at the scene and learned there were four children, ages 11 months, 2 years, 4 years, and 10 years old, left unattended at the residence. The mother, Melissa Preston, returned home while deputies were on scene. Preston, age 30, was arrested for public intoxication and charged with four counts of wanton endangerment.
