On Tuesday, April 18, Prestonsburg Mayor Les Stapleton signed a proclamation recognizing April 2017 as National Diversity Month. The proclamation stated Prestonsburg is a community promoting tolerance and infusion while focusing on how we interact with our families, our, and coworkers by respecting them and ourselves. It also called upon citizens to stand together with all people of good faith in the community to overcome our ignorance and fears.
