On Friday, April 21, at approximately 6:32pm, Kentucky State Police in Morehead responded to 1741 Calaboose Rocky Branch Road near Campton, to a report of shots fired. Upon arrival it was determined that Darrell Terrill, 58, had shot John Brashers, 26, in the leg during a verbal altercation. As the altercation escalated, Terrill shot twice at Brashers with a .38 revolver, striking him once in the leg. Terrill was arrested on scene and charged with Assault 1st degree and tampering with physical evidence. Brashers was transported to Kentucky River Medical Center and treated for his gunshot wound.
