Beshear Joins with Attorneys General on Federal Drug Treatment Funding

Attorney General Andy Beshear has joined with other state attorneys general to implore members of Congress and the President to adequately fund drug treatment in any plan to replace the Affordable Care Act. The initial replacement plan would have cut drug treatment funding by over $5 billion annually. The ACA currently provides coverage to nearly 3 million Americans suffering from addiction. In an effort to fight against substance abuse in Kentucky, Beshear has provided millions of dollars in funding to substance treatment centers and programs through settlements his office secured.
