On Thursday, April 20, Knox County Deputy Claude Hudson conducted a follow-up investigation into a burglary that had occurred on April 18, 2017. Stolen items from the burglary were found inside two vehicles at a residence on Decatur Drive in Flat Lick. Prior to having the vehicles towed for evidence, Kendra Gambrel, 20, wanted to remove her purse from one of the vehicles. While checking the purse, Deputy Hudson found two small plastic bags of suspected methamphetamine. Gambrel was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Also arrested at the location were Kevin Carter, 38, for EPO violation, and Crystal Messer, 32, for a bench warrant.
