Just in time for the Kentucky Derby, the Kentucky Distillers Association is rolling out the first in a series of public service announcements to encourage responsible drinking. A new PSA is hitting the airwaves that asks the question “How do Kentuckians enjoy their bourbon?” And answers “Responsibly.” The PSA is aimed at portraying responsible drinking as an essential element in Kentucky’s bourbon culture. Bourdon and distilled spirits is a signature industry in Kentucky and the KDA’s Ali Edelstein says distillers have a responsibility to help people enjoy bourbon and distilled spirits the right way. Edelstein says its quality and not quantity that’s important and urges people to plan ahead when consuming alcoholic beverages, like at a derby party, including non-alcoholic beverages to encourage hydration and arranging a safe ride home.
