An argument between two men turned violent Thursday, April 27, leaving one man recovering from gunshot wounds. Troopers with Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard responded to a fight complaint on Elm Shoal Branch Road, in the Combs community of Perry County around 4:30pm. It was initially determined by investigators that Chester Jones, 67, and Mark Taylor, 41, had been involved in an argument. During the altercation, Jones drew a firearm and shot Taylor twice, before leaving the scene in his vehicle. Taylor was treated for non-life threatening injuries and Jones turned himself in to Troopers at KSP Post 13.
