Kentucky Woman Arrested in Pound, VA for DUI

At 1:41am May 2, 1st Sgt Folk of the Pound Police Department received a report of a reckless driver traveling US 23 South in the north bound lane. After observing a near head on collision between 21-year-old Rosemary Newman of Jenkins and two coal trucks, Sgt Folk used his cruiser with lights and sirens as a cushioning device between the reckless driver and the traffic behind him to prevent multiple fatalities or serious injuries. Newman pulled over at the Marathon gas station and was noticeably intoxicated, with a Blood Alcohol Level of .15. She was arrested for driving under the influence.
