BSCTC Brings Home 21 First-Place State SkillsUSA awards

Big Sandy Community and Technical College’s SkillsUSA chapter brought home 38 awards in the SkillsUSA state competition in Louisville on Saturday, April 22. Of the 38 awards, BSCTC racked up 21 first-place awards and was the recipient of second place for post-secondary membership. All first-place winners will advance to the National SkillsUSA competition to be held June 19 to 23, 2017 in Louisville.  Dr. Fallon Watson, assistant professor of communication and SkillsUSA sponsor at BSCTC, said she is proud of the college’s performance at the competition. Watson said” this validates our students are among the best, [and] is a tremendous honor for our students, college, and communities.”
