There will be two blood drives held Thursday, May 18. The first blood drive will be at 1st Commonwealth Bank on the Kentucky Blood Center Bloodmobile at 311 North Arnold Ave. in Prestonsburg from 9:30am to 11:30am. The second will be at Appalachian Wireless at 101 Technology Trail in Ivel from 1:30pm to 4:30pm, also on the Bloodmobile. Everyone who registers to donate will receive a short-sleeve gray t-shirt. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments can be made at kybloodcenter.org. Blood donors must 17-years-old, 16 with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in general good health. Donors must also show a photo ID with first and last name.
