Twenty-five information technology students at Prestonsburg High School have become Certified Internet Webmaster coders. The students, part of the information technology program through the Area Technology Center, recently passed their national computer lifetime certifications. This certification allows students to waive a college course, and it aligns with industry practices to strengthen their resumes as they begin their career. Dr. Jeff Shannon, information technology instructor, said they are very proud of the IT students this year for excelling at national app competitions, earning regional SkillsUSA championships, competing at state, and now receiving lifetime certifications.
