Apple Investing $200 Million in Corning’s Harrodsburg, KY Plant

Apple will be investing $200 million into Corning’s Harrodsburg, KY plant, as the first recipient in their new $1 billion manufacturing fund, according to Fox Business. Corning, the maker of gorilla glass for smart phones and tablets, has been Apple’s supplier since the inception of the iPhone. Wendell P. Weeks, Corning’s Chairman, CEO and President, said the investment will ensure the Harrodsburg plant remains a global center of excellence for glass technology.
